Research

Members of a Community Livestock Group learn to recognize signs of disease and poor nutrition at a recent workshop, sponsored by the Livestock-Climate Change CRSP SLPS project.
The goal of LCC CRSP is to increase resilience and augment the income of livestock producers in regions where agricultural systems are changing, available resources are shrinking, and climate is having an impact. The LCC CRSP supports research that aids individuals and communities to make choices and take actions that lead to sustainable livelihoods in the face of climate change. For small-scale producers in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, this is especially important since livelihood and health are closely tied to individual and community interactions with the land and livestock.
