Regional Innovation Consortia
The mission of the Regional Innovation Consortia is to identify, test, nurture, and expand research innovation that examines the interactions of animal, human, and environmental health responses to climate change impacts on livestock systems. The ultimate goal is to strengthen these responses in order to improve livelihoods, food security, and human health. We believe an integrated approach to research involves active and committed collaboration among U.S. and host-country researchers, academics, and practitioners. That is why the primary objective of RICs is to sustain and strengthen these research networks by boosting research capacity, spurring research innovation, translating research, and ensuring sustainability.
